Christmas season in Puerto Princesa, Palawan

It's that time again. The whole city is decorated with golden garlands, the Capitol is all around equipped with dining and parking stalls. In the back of the property, as each year presented after dusk a large puppet theater. Now each night hundreds of adults and children to enjoy this spectacle. It's like a big bazaar. This celebration is carried out up to January.

Also during the "Baywalk" the seafront, where a few years ago, the Dondo of Puerto Princesa burned down under mysterious circumstances, is an oversized Christmas tree at the lights and brick market stalls which are leased by small handlers to host the walkers of sweets and beverages. Everywhere there are bright Girrlanden that evening, the generators of the electric power plant uttermost demand.
Christmas is here, then on 25 December celebrated the family.

Whitetail Hunting In Michigan

If I were a horse ...

I'd be a Shetland pony!
At least the result of the facebook quizzes ... The following is intended to shetland ponies and me are true:
You like to be the center of attention but not, because you think you're beautiful. Your funny and you love to make people laugh! People often underestimate you because you seem to be too carefree ... but given the chance you can be the rock that keeps everything from falling apart! When you care about something, you make sure that everything in your power is put toward keeping it. You can have a nasty temper though, so watch out!
Well, that sounds so nice on - but still, a shetland pony ?!?!?! The Assioziationen I have so spontaneously with Shetland ponies are small, thick, strong and stubborn ;-)
I just say: Wiehe!

Cost Of Bowling Shoes

ups ...

Yes it is, the last days have the horses to behave consistently somewhat "testy" to me ... At first I was Nasi in a fit of anger about the fact that I have dared to touch the back of his leg, stepped to the knee. I was "the mare of a friend from food envy bitten on the arm and the coronation me Nasi abgebockt last Monday with sophisticated technology! Bitch! Now the left wrist is still wrecked.
The doctor in Borgarnes he has "a precaution" created views nen plaster, although on the radiograph nothing to see was ... Since my diagnosis was so ne perhaps a little too vague and me a doctor friend has confirmed my suspicion that this cast was anything but professionally, I drove to the nearest hospital on Friday and I probably missed the joint X-ray. To my relief it turned out that nothing is broken and I got rid of this monster of plaster again! According to the doctor, the joint is compressed only doll. The initially severe swelling inst inwischen also already almost gone and I am confident that the hand is fully operational again soon ...
Well, now I can at least say that I had ever NEN plaster on the hand ;-) And a good
the lesion had also: I was forced to make a little bit slow - it has after all the stress the past few weeks doing very well and made a little clearer view again.
go today Nasi and Adam back home and instead I get 2 mares mounted. Donna, who I have ridden this summer and a mare that I do not know yet.
look forward to this new task ...

What Are The Rules Of The Board Game Frustration

Moving - rainy season and banana harvest

We have rainy season. For traveling around it is not safe and associated with some inconvenience. The connecting roads are muddy and in between impassable. Nevertheless, there were "Ägschen"
We moved and now live in a 4-bedroom house with large kitchen, with a guest bedroom with a shower downstairs to the garden. The views over the city is forested, especially in the evening feeling very inspiring. A light breeze cooled us during particularly hot days.
My little site is located vis-à-vis, equipped with a coconut palm, 41 banana, 1 papaya tree, our nine newly planted fruit trees. (2 Durian, 2 Lanzone, 2 mangosteen, pomelo 2, 1 rambutan). We now have large banana crop. 5 Bananenstrünke will be able to be harvested in the coming weeks. (2 bananas and 3 Essbananenstrünke )

The Tabon caves of Quezon, Südpalawan

the way from Puerto Princesa to Quezon in the south of Palawan I have ever driven in my car. In the dry season the road is quite good passable. But stick the eyes on the track to avoid the large and sometimes deep holes. There's no time to enjoy everything the LANDSCAPE. Therefore, this time we charter a van and come to Quezon recovered at 4 hours. We visit the Museum Tabon, although just because no light EINR "brownout" is available. The windowless, big room, we contemplate our behelfslässig with the flashlight. The flash photography will help us later to see things we could only guess there.

We overnight in a small clean guesthouse near the beach with sea views for the equivalent of CHF 5 per person to well rested the next morning with a small Barkedie half-hour crossing to the island with the Tabon - caves to be addressed. The cave guide from the museum tells us that the boom to visit the caves a few years ago has fallen sharply. The research of the many still "virgin" caves was due to lack of sponsorship and money into alternate. In government circles, the importance of these caves ranked high because about 175 000 years ago, the sea level was so low that a continuous land bridge between Asia and the mainland Palawan was. For humans and animals was an open, welcoming immigration port and this "corridor" and was then used extensively. It is not surprising that these caves were found in Relikien dating back up to 50 000 years into the past. A skull and bones (22,000 years old) were found in excavations of the oldest Homo sapiens sapiens - finds of the Philippines belong.

We had high levels of long nature - steps to overcome that would not end fast. Thanks to my regained Guren condition, I reached with the leader well before the severed fellow visitors the aircon - cave, which is connected with a natural air shaft to the ridge height of the mountain, the aerated our sweat-drenched body. This Staske whiff but had a slightly sour smell, which bore witness to that live bats. Various signage and information boards are informed:
are that as the limestone caves from prehistoric times removal of sand from a coral reef;
that 30 000 jägrige stone tools were excavated;
were that a now-extinct species of deer, the cave dwellers as food;
Manunggul that the cave at 114 meters above the lake with impressive views to the surrounding sea islands, was used as a burial place. A key term container with a lid decorated with 2 figures, dated to 690 -710 BC to represent two souls who find themselves on a journey into the next life.
Finally, I would like to mention the Tabon bird that regularly visited the caves. He is blue and brown on the fuselage to the wings or feathered all black, the size of a goose, flying only short distances and digs with his big foot claws its eggs in the sand and cover them. The warmth of the sand then incubates the eggs until the young hatch. There would be some of the 215 caves, grotto-like report.
A bring your own lunch, we shared with our guide and boatman, strengthened us, to enrich the afternoon with a trip to the nearby fishing island.

Baragatan Festival Puerto Princesa The

The alljähriche Baragatan Festival has been completed with a big barbecue with several miles of Seefood grill throughout the city. The festival had a month lasted. Around the Capitol, there were several 100 stalls, which offered in front of all the petty competitions and artists from all over Palawan their products.

were given to almost every night of several demonstrations for the best. The visitor turnout was overwhelming. We also had a Swiss group with moving there and have for the big barbecue - sponsored event something. It has brought us much sympathy towards.

all 24 communities were there with great performances and floats in the parade. We, too, as the International Community of Palawan "were among the party and have Süssikeiten distributed.

was unfortunately not the BBQ event recorded in the Book of Records, as a heavy rain prevented a continuous grilling. A new effort in this matter is planned.

Palawan underground river in Sabang with Natioalpark

If you ever to Puerto Princesa "lost" is, do not miss a day trip to Sabang to St. Paul's Underground River. It is the longest underground river in the world with a navigable length of 4.2 km and was declared the attached National Park a UNESCO natural world heritage in 1999.

The road to Sabang currently has alternately good concrete roads with dirt track after a rain shower in the tropical forest is a little aufheweicht, but both with the aircon - buses and jeepneys is to do well. I have been 2 times in Sabang, the first time with an aircon bus tour group Topstar and the second time with the jeepney. Topstar is available at a stop provided at a lookout tower with Comportroom and the half-hour waterway for Underground River. A Filipino lunch will be administered after a visit to the tunnel passes. Until the return trip you might then have the opportunity to shop at Baden, or to exchange ideas.

For in the course of the water tunnel Rivers is one with a life jacket and equipped to a helmet. Marvel at the lighted stalactite formations which carry fanciful names by the way, should be kept closed by looking up the mouth. The thousands of bats, which sometimes, though unintentionally but inevitably fall "slightly". Its accuracy is very bad. Anyway.

from a night I have so far overlooked, since by day visitors of the tour companies offered the cottage in poor condition or the price is high unortsüblich.
a trip through the national park I have not done so. He goes through the Tschungel, over densely forested mountains and through swamps. I lack good companions, these wonders of nature with me to explore (we) want. (Over 800 plant species from 300 genera and over 100 families, including some specialized cacti, 295 tree species, 168 bird species, representing 67% of Philippine birds , including the symbol of Puerto Princesa, the endangered Palawanpfaufasan and the green back nectar bird that is found on flowers, 41 butterfly species from 6 families, 30 mammals, including the long-tailed macaque, the only one encountered in the Philippines, monkey, and finally 19 reptile species, including the king cobra, pit viper and Netzpyton) We had a Gide to two, would lead us. It is demanding and it alone makes only half as much fun. Is it you who wants to be here?

also mangrove river Poyuy-poyuy (a Vogelparanies) and Sabang waterfall are worthwhile goals in the diverse nature of Sabang.

Buying An Eagle In Canada

day trip to Nagtabon

Another nice day trip is a swimming day, on the other side of the island. We go early in the morning and are partially on the highway on a concrete road and half on rough dirt roads go. The hilly route through the rain forest alternating with paddy fields and typical native houses, home to the rice farmers. The final ascent, which looks more like a river bed are then free on the hill overlooking the bay to the desired dream. The short steep descent brings us to the beautiful beach. Brought to the board and swimming in crystal clear water, we enjoy the beautiful day.

soon will be here again, as a few years ago, can cater suburb. Cottages to sleep, too, are obsolete and new expanded. But soon enough we do and again before sunset on the way home to be home again.

Baby Channels Ophotbird

day trip to Hondabay - Snake-Iceland

Just outside of Puerto Princesa is a beautiful island group that invites you to explore. The smaller islands, nestled in a neighborhood north of Puerto Princesa Bay can be reached by Bankas for swimming and snorkeling in a short time. The underwater world is for snorkellers like me always a great experience. As you find yourself when you entrains some bread to feed the fish in the middle of a huge shoal of fish, a few meters from the sandy beach .. Also a fantastic coral world opens one, if the water is clear and the weather sunny. I know so far above all the snake-Iceland. There you can experience an underwater panorama unparalleled. With an average of 1,200 pesos to be driven all day from one island to another. Sport fishing is allowed only with an additional fee, which will benefit local fishermen.

Puerto Princesa - the cleanest city in the Philippines! My

It is actually in Puerto Princesa unusually clean, relative to other cities. The strong hand of the presenter on many posters Mayor Mayor Hidalgo Solon Hagedorn's father (the town by the inhabitants called) takes effect on everything, which could harm the popular town. Waste or cigarette butts just throwing on the street is prohibited and punishable. The tariff is in almost every Trisycle (transport unit on 3 wheels) installed the first time costs 200 pesos (about 5 SFR - a daily income), the second time around 300 pesos and the third time in 1000 pesos plus 2 months in jail. Waste is under the Environment Act in yellow (recycled) and green (organic) tons are separated. This works quite well. Not only you can still see tons of rare, since there is still much to be burned.
